5 Reasons your dog does not come when called

So, what are the 5 reasons your dog has poor recall and what you can do about it

1. Your pup was probably allowed to go and see everyone in the early days, and you were encouraged to do so by a trainer?

2. You used 'high value' food to get basic obedience out of it at puppy classes, thus rendering it useless and ineffective when real world distractions were introduced. 

3. Your dog has a relationship with its food rather than with you !! 

4. You are not important enough to your dog when out in the real world, and 

5. Your dog has no reason to want to come back to you at the end of the walk which its been on, merrily doing what it want's 

You can rectify the problem, but not overnight, by training the recall to mean so much more to your dog.
